Familystart Zürich stands for a fast and smooth connection between midwifes or registered nurses and families with newborns.

The number of days in hospital after a delivery decreased over the last years. That's why especially midwifes or registered nurses take the responsibility of the medical primary care of mothers and their children. Familystart Zurich connects those with the parents and coordinates the support service for the period of childbed. More than 3'000 families per year are placed to self-employed midwifes or registered nurses in the canton of Zurich.

We are in contact with hospitals but also the local “Müttter- und Väterberatung”, with pediatricians and professional consulting services for families.

Even now in this Corona period the self-employed midwives and registered nurses are there for women in childbed. Home visits are made observing the strict hygiene measures.
