Familystart Zurich is a network of self-employed midwives. Our goal is to ensure the postpartum support of every new mother and her newborns in the canton of Zurich. We maintain an efficient interface between partner hospitals and self-employed midwives or registered nurses. To our partner hospitals we guarantee that every woman in childbed will get professional support after leaving hospital with its newborn.
The service delivered by Familystart Zurich helps to coordinate hospital internal and external support service, to reduce duplications, to avoid re-hospitalisation and emergency consultations. As a network and with its professional placement platform Familystart Zurich contributes to a cost-efficient health care after birth of a child.
